Restoration of the Central Terminal has begun at last thanks to the tremendous efforts of the Central Terminal Preservation Group. While progress remains slow, the building has been secured and several "clean-up days" have been held on the grounds to remove debris and tend to landscaping chores. Hundreds of people have turned out to get involved in the effort.

For many years prior, the fate of Central Terminal had been up in the air. Many people came forward with grand ideas for a shopping center, a business complex and apartments, and (oddly enough) a train station. There is no doubt that there remains a tremendous amount of work yet to be done on the interior of the building. However, it appears as if the revival of Central Terminal has begun.
