This site was one of Yahoo!'s Picks of the Week(April 23, 2001). I'm from the Town of Tonawanda and graduated from Kenmore East in 1985. I miss being home. Great site. I especially liked reading the guestbook. Lots of things long forgotten until mentioned...Loblaws, for one! Keep on boosting Buffalo! |

Born in Boston, went to GI, Army, Korea, mid 50s went to work for Hall Baking Co., main and fillmore. That is where I had my first Decco coffie, we took them in that round take out glass cup and had it with the most delicious Halls baked goods, rememb er that chese cake and those great coffie cakes. It was the worst job I ever had dirty cold and those old beat up yellow and black trucks were the pits, us mechanics worked hard. I worked with Walt Barns, Wally Ifflander, Bob Tonner, Art Berlinghoff, Dot Mienger,The job sucked but with that Decco coffie and those great baked goods it helped ease the painI don't miss Buffalo, but miss the great food and of course Teds hot dogs, Broadway market and my old class mates. |

Hi, I relocated down here in '96 after the shutdown of the former Pratt & Lambert. After 27 yrs. there I felt finding another job as good wasn't in the cards. So here I am in Florida and I would do anything to return to Buffalo. Sometimes you have to leave to realize how good you had it. I'll never lose my love of Buffalo or it's people. Thank you |
