This view of Delevan Avenue at Parkdale in August of 1936 shows a once familiar site in Buffalo. An Iroquois Beer truck is making a delivery of some of Buffalo's finest brew to Van's Grocery Store right on the corner.

Those were the days of 5 cent phone calls, Police call boxes, and tree- lined streets. Compared with the Delevan Avenue of today, this view makes the street look almost rural.
