A quiet evening in North Buffalo. This photograph of Hertel Avenue was taken in 1949 and the view is looking east towards Colvin. Outside of the trolley tracks in the middle of the street, not much has changed in this area. Of course, one of the buildings was demolished to make way for an OTB and later a Rite Aid pharmacy. And even THAT is closed with the building abandoned. Refer to the picture below for a key to the business shown in the photograph.
