This is a view of Main Street looking north from Court Street. Notice the horse-drawn street cars and the many buggies lining the curbs. In the immediate left forground of the photo is H. R. Jacob's Court Street Theater where you could catch a vaudeville-type show for 10 cents. Next to the theater is the German-American Bank and Smith's Photographic Gallery.
