Christmas time is here in this photograph from the early 1940s. Buffalo's New york central Terminal was perhaps the best place in the city to see the hustle and bustle of the season.
The photograph above shows a packed Terminal as hundreds of people make their way to trains heading in and out of the city. At the time the photograph was taken, the concourse was crowded with people joining in for a Christmas sing-a-long. During the holidays, the Terminal's balconies were the stage for mahy concerts and other fesitve presentations. ![]() The photograph above shows a few holiday travelers waiting patiently for the arrival of the train that will take them home for the holidays. |
