Stan "Stas" Jasinski was as big an East Side landmark as the Broadway Market. His career spanned more than 60 year's as Buffalo's Polka King on a variety of stations including WWOL, WHLD, WKBW and WXRL. He became owner of WMMJ (now WXRL) in 1965 and defeated the mighty Courier Express in the race to establish WUTV (Channel 29) in 1971. Jasinski last "Polka Beehive Show" aired in 2000.
