One of the most popular shows in local television history, "Dialing for Dollars," Debuted on September 7, 1964, on WKBW-TV with hosts Nolan Johannes and Liz Dribbin. Dave Thomas joined the program after Liz left for CBS New York in 1969. With guest appearences by big-name stars, cooking and fashion segments, musical entertainment with Jimmy and Johnny, and those unforgettable call-in contests, the show ran for 14 years until its name was changed to "A.M. Buffalo" in 1978.
