Admittedly among the biggest stars of the time to their audiences, comedian Bob Hope jokes around with WBEN morning man Clint Buehlman. Buehlman began his career at WGR-AM in 1931 and moved up the dial to WBEN in 1943. It is at WBEN that "Yours Truly Buehly" ruled morning radio with a mixture of big city sophistication and hometown, cornball humor until his retirement in 1977. Buehlman was one of the first inductees into the Western New York Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 1997.
